DECATUR, Ala. (AP) - There's no doubt about what Gov. Robert Bentley will be having for lunch tomorrow. Bentley takes his Road to Economic Recovery Tour to Decatur tomorrow, and his first stop is a lunch-time visit to Big Bob Gibson Bar-B-Q .

HARTFORD, Ala. (AP) - An Alabama State Trooper is hospitalized in stable condition after he was wounded in a gun battle that also left two suspects injured on a southeast Alabama road. Authorities say the gunfire began as a traffic stop, but quickly turned into a shootout between the trooper and the suspects yesterday on County Road 57 in Geneva County.

HOLMESVILLE, Miss. (AP) - Historical Society president Malcolm Allen unveiled this week a historical marker at the old courthouse in Holmesville commemorating Pike County's role in the War of 1812. Allen says the county's role in the war began with British interference in U.S. maritime trade and ended in 1815 with the Battle of New Orleans.

MACON, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say an Alabama truck driver who was walking alongside a central Georgia road was killed after two vehicles collided in the street, and one of the vehicles struck him. Jones identified the Alabama man as 43-year-old Kenneth Alan Craig of Montgomery.
