NCAA Game Summary - Chattanooga At Missouri

(Sports Network) - Leo Lyons poured in a game-high 25 points and ripped down eight caroms in leading the Missouri Tigers to a 103-75 victory over the Chattanooga Mocs in the opening round of the Puerto Rico Tipoff at Mizzou Arena

Lyons finished the game 8-of-12 from the floor and 9-of-11 at the foul line, with four assists. DeMarre Carroll also turned in a big effort with 21 points and eight boards for the Tigers (2-0), while Matt Lawrence logged 16 points.

Ty Patterson headed the charge for Chattanooga (0-2) with 18 points. Nicchaeus Doaks notched a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Jasper Williams had 14 points in the losing effort.

The Tigers connected on 42.4 percent of their shots from the floor and 11- of-17 at the foul line in the opening half, capturing a 43-37 lead at the intermission.

Missouri opened the season half with an 11-0 run and it made 6-of-15 three pointers en route to the 28-point victory.

For the game, Missouri made 50.0 percent of its field goal tries, in addition to forcing Chattanooga into 20 turnovers.
