Texas A&M-Corpus Christi assistant basketball coach Brian Hagen resigned Tuesday nearly one year after joining the Islanders' coaching staff.

"I appreciated the opportunity afforded to me," said Hagen. "The experience I had in Corpus Christi was a great one. I will miss many athletic department personnel that I became friends with."

Hagen is leaving to for a position with Tim Floyd and the New Orleans Hornets of the NBA.
