College Station, TX -- (Sports Network) - Jerrod Johnson passed for three touchdowns as he led the Texas A&M Aggies to a 24-17 win against the Colorado Buffaloes in Big 12 Conference play at Kyle Field. Johnson finished the game 15-of-31 for 214 yards and survived five sacks as he led the Aggies (4-5, 2-3 Big 12) to their second straight win. The Buffs (4-5, 1-4), losers of two straight and five of the last six after opening the 2008 campaign with three consecutive triumphs, were led by Tyler Hansen who ran for a team-best 86 yards and also threw for another 89 yards, but was picked off twice in the losing effort. Colorado moved out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter when Rodney Stewart crossed the goal line from six yards out. A&M answered with a 39-yard field goal by Randy Bullock, a kick that was answered by Colorado's Jameson Davis on a 30-yard effort to give the Buffaloes a 10-3 advantage at the break. In the third quarter the Aggies offense came alive as Ryan Tannehill reeled in a 32-yard touchdown pass from Johnson and Jeff Fuller had scoring catches of 59 and 10 yards as well to make the score 24-10 in favor of the home team. In the fourth period Demetrius Sumler logged a 10-yard touchdown run for the Buffaloes, but by then it was too little, too late for the visitors in the seven-point decision. A&M, which controlled the ball for less than 26 minutes on the day, gained just 94 yards on the ground in the win.
