Carbondale, IL -- (Sports Network) - Tom Bishop kicked five field goals and R.J. Toman added a two-yard touchdown run, leading New Hampshire to a 29-20 win over Southern Illinois in the first round of the FCS playoffs. Toman completed 16-of-32 passes for 257 yards with three interceptions for the Wildcats (10-2), who will play Northern Iowa in the quarterfinals. Mike Boyle had seven grabs for 131 yards, while Chad Kackert amassed 50 yards on the ground for New Hampshire, which carried a 16-13 advantage into halftime. Chris Dieker completed 18-of-36 passes for 163 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions for the Salukis (9-3), while Larry Warner had 93 yards on 21 carries. Southern Illinois trimmed the deficit to 26-20 early in the fourth quarter on Dieker's 30-yard TD pass to Kyle Harruff. Bishop drilled a 32-yard field goal with 2:13 remaining to put the game away.
