Sam Houston St./Prairie View Game Cancelled

POSTED: 4:36 pm EDT September 11, 2008

(Sports Network) - The expected effects of Hurricane Ike has caused the game between Sam Houston State and Prairie View A&M to be cancelled.

The game, originally scheduled for Saturday, September 13, will not be rescheduled.

"After looking at all aspects of the situation, [both universities] mutually agreed that it was in the best interest of our student-athletes and fans to cancel the game," said Sam Houston athletic director Bobby Williams.
