(Sports Network) - Tyrod Taylor threw for 137 yards and a touchdown to help lead the Virginia Tech Hokies to a 17-14 win over the Virginia Cavaliers in ACC play at Lane Stadium.

With the victory the Hokies (8-4, 5-3 ACC) captured the Coastal Division and advance to the ACC championship game next week in Tampa, Florida. Tech will face Boston College in the title game after the Eagles defeated Maryland on Saturday by a final of 28-21.

Taylor also controlled the running game for VaTech with his game-high 137 yards on 16 carries, while Greg Boone hit the end zone on one of his three runs during the day.

Hall kicked off the day's scoring on a 40-yard run at the 11:57 mark of the first quarter, but later in the frame Tech knotted the score at 7-7 when Taylor connected with Jarrett Boykin on a three-yard scoring pass.

The only scoring of the second quarter came on a 16-yard TD run by Hall to make the score 14-7 at the break.

Boone's four-yard touchdown run early in the third quarter for the Hokies locked the score once again at 14-14, leaving a Dustin Keys 28-yard field goal at the 6:37 mark of the fourth quarter as the game-winning score.
