Cobb Chase Leads To Violent Crash

COBB COUNTY, Ga. -- A multi-vehicle crash in Cobb County left six people injured, at least one of those in critical condition.The accident happened at the intersection of James Jackson Parkway and Northwest Drive.Investigators said the incident began when police learned the driver of a burgundy Monte Carlo was wanted on a parole violation. Officers began chasing the driver, who hit a second car head-on, investigators said.The suspect then crashed into a second car, which was carrying four people, police said. Investigators said some of the people in the second car suffered broken bones.
After the second collision, the suspect’s car burst into flames.A police officer who pulled the suspect and a passenger out of the burning car hurt his hand, investigators said.None of the people involved in the crash have been identified.
