CBS Soap Opera Recap: November 21
THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS:
Tyra and Ana walk into Neil and Karen's apartment just in time to learn that Neil and Karen are engaged. Tyra's longing for Neil is evident. As they are celebrating, Lily gets a message from Sonny Crawford. Neil suggests that they meet in a public place and after some pushing she agrees to go with Roxy and Devon. At the bookstore, Lily, Roxanne and Devon try to figure out who Sonny Crawford is. Lily asks him to meet her in the "M"s just as Billy arrives and gets her text. Later, Billy is furious when he realizes that Chloe followed him to the bookstore. Meanwhile, as Lily is waiting in the M section, she and Cane run into each other. Lily informs Cane that she is meeting someone and he should go. As Lily is rounding the corner she runs into Billy. Lily admits to Billy that she doesn't want to love Cane anymore. Cane sees Lily crying in Billy's arms. Jack continues to work on the Jabot take over but Ashley still refuses to give him her proxy. . Later, Gloria over plays her hand with Ashley and Ashley realizes that Gloria is Jack's silent partner. Jack uses their father to manipulate Ashley and she finally agrees to give Jack her proxy. Gloria informs Michael that she won't recant her testimony against River River explains to the prosecutor about Gloria's testimony and he says that if Gloria can convince him of what happened then he will reduce the charges. River is ecstatic but Michael replies that they can't rely on Gloria. Later, River believes Gloria will come through for him. At the coffeehouse, Jana makes a joking comment to Kevin about needing a scooter. Amber confides in Daniel that she thinks Gloria paid Kevin to do something to Kay. Daniel sees Kevin checking out vehicle sights and calls him on it. Kevin lies saying he is buying Jana a gift on credit. Kevin is convincing and Daniel backs down, admitting Amber put thoughts in his mind. Amber witnesses Kevin pull out a large wad of cash for Jana's gift. Kevin gives Jana a new scooter as Daniel and Amber look on.
THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL:
Brooke tries to talk Ridge into getting married in spite of not having the support of their families. Donna begins to pressure Eric into making a decision about their relationship, but is discouraged when she sees what she is up against. Owen's pent-up frustration with Donna forces him to show her what she is missing by not being with him. Rick's desire for revenge becomes desperate when he sees that his recent plan against Ridge may not work the way he had hoped.
AS THE WORLD TURNS:
Dusty and Josie decide to brush off Thanksgiving, since they have no family, and instead Josie suggests they go away. Dusty's game, but haunted when Josie chooses Tampa, FL - a spot he and Jennifer visited. Josie's also scared by her connection to Jen, but they decide to explore it and go to Tampa. Dusty takes her to the same hotel he and Jen went to, and Josie eerily chooses the same song on the Karoke machine that Jen once sang there to Dusty. Moved by Josie and Jen's link, Dusty admits she's the first person he's felt comfortable with since Jen died. She thanks him for all his help and they make love in her hotel room.Katie tries to convince Brad to stop investigating Spencer, since the person who keeps sending her emails warned them to stop pursuing the case, or else. Henry shows up and tells them his connections miraculously set up a meeting with Spencer's brother. Katie won't explain to him why they don't want to follow through with the meeting. Brad slips away from Katie and goes to the meeting, and learns the man is just an actor hired to drop off a package to Spencer. Katie's furious with Brad for ignoring her wishes and even more upset when they receive a call from Henry who's been arrested. In a search of Henry's room, Dani found the scarf used to kill Spencer and since she won't buy that Henry was framed, Katie and Brad finally admit that a stranger has been manipulating them through email. Dani wants investigate their claim, but before Katie and Brad can show her the computer, a new message warns them to never show anyone the messages or Brad will "be next."Paul and Meg find out they're having a girl and Meg decides to move back into Fairwinds. Emma's reluctant, but tries to accept Paul since he's now family. Emma invites them both to Thanksgiving.
GUIDING LIGHT:
Natalia wants to invest all the money from Gus's cottage, but Decker informs her that the minimum investment is one million dollars. Decker offers to add Natalia's investment in with his own because he appreciates everything she's done for Olivia. Natalia excitedly agrees. She has a fantasy that Rafe is finally home. She looks at the flier for the farmhouse with hope in her eyes. Natalia tells Olivia she went in on the investment deal with Decker in hopes of being able to buy the farmhouse and take care of Rafe. Olivia is horrified as she learns the high risk involved in the investment. Olivia sees that the price of the fund is quickly decreasing. Natalia continues to enjoy her day, unaware.Lizzie tells her lawyer that Bill is being framed. Lizzie defends Bill, but Alan asks her why she tried to destroy the coat. Lizzie is furious when she realizes Alan could be the one framing Bill. She asks Cyrus to help her think like a criminal to figure out what the person that's trying to frame Bill will do next. Cyrus realizes how much Grady's actions are affecting her when she tells him she's the only one who'll fight for Bill. Alan tells Beth he'd do anything for Lizzie, but doesn't say he's the one framing Bill. Beth reminds him that Lizzie can be just as vindictive as he is, prompting Alan to head to the police station to do something before Lizzie does. Beth tells Lizzie that Alan's headed down to the SPD. Lizzie learns that Alan is telling the police that he's the kidnapper. Alan says he'll confess as a way to throw the police off of Bill's case for a few days. Grateful Lizzie tells him not to do it and apologizes for doubting him in the first place. Lizzie tells her lawyer to do whatever it takes to clear Bill - money is no object.
Ashlee struggles as the thug holds her, threatening her. She locks eyes with Grady who turns his back and walks away. Meanwhile, Buzz announces it's an open invitation for Thanksgiving this year. Daisy doesn't think that includes Grady. They hear a woman scream and take off toward the sound. Ashlee is shocked after Grady rushes in and saves her from the thug. Frustrated Grady runs off when everyone thinks that he's the one that attacked Ashlee. Ashlee says Grady is the one that saved her, but privately admits to Daisy that she was going to let Grady take the fall. Daisy storms out after Ashlee tells her she wanted to set Grady up so he could go to prison and pay for his past. Grady tells disbelieving Mallet he's a changed man - smarter, savvier, and happy to be on the other side of things when it comes to the law. Ashlee rushes in and expresses her gratitude to Grady for his help. He looks at Mallet and says some people just never want to give him a second chance. Buzz tells Grady that they owe him one for helping Ashlee. Daisy tells Buzz she and Grady are back together and hopes that Buzz isn't all talk. When Doris finds out what happened to Ashlee, she vows to show all the criminals out there how tough she is. As proof of this, she decides to prosecute Bill in the kidnapping case.
