No Cue: Paris Hilton Memorized McCain Slam

Hilton Proves Acting Chops With Political Parody Ad

She's been criticized for past attempts, but now it appears that Paris Hilton has what it takes to be an actress: She can indeed memorize lines.

Hilton didn't need cue cards for her mock presidential campaign ad on the Web site Funny or Die.

Amy Rhodes, the content director for the Web site, said that Hilton memorized her entire monologue, which included outlining her energy plan.

    Uncut: Hilton Video Jabs McCain

Last week, McCain launched an ad comparing Democratic rival Barack Obama to Hilton and Britney Spears, suggesting Obama was no more than a celebrity candidate unready to lead the nation.

Hilton initially shied away from the debate over the ad and its effectiveness. But she agreed to shoot the video after being approached by Funny or Die.

The co-founder of the site, Adam McKay, came up with the idea for the fake ad.

In the parody, Hilton appears reclined in a pool chair in a revealing bathing suit and a pair of pumps, saying, "Hey America, I'm Paris Hilton and I'm a celebrity, too. Only I'm not from the olden days and I'm not promising change like that other guy. I'm just hot."

Then Hilton continues, "But then that wrinkly, white-haired guy used me in his campaign ad, which I guess means I'm running for president. So thanks for the endorsement white-haired dude."

The video took a few hours to shoot at the house where Hilton was staying in the Hamptons on Long Island, N.Y. Rhodes said Hilton was not compensated for appearing in the video because she decided she just wanted to do it for fun.

McCain said that he has not seen the Hilton video, but has been briefed about its contents.

The presidential candidate said that he's glad Hilton has a sense of humor.

While traveling in southern Ohio Wednesday, the Republican presidential candidate said the new online video from Hilton adds some fun to the campaign.
