Henry County Crash Kills Three Teens

POSTED: 1:21 pm EDT May 11, 2008
UPDATED: 1:28 pm EDT May 11, 2008

Authorities are investigating a single-car accident that left three high school students dead in Henry County.

Capt. Jason Bolton with the Henry County Police Department identified the three victims as Naijah Grover, 17; Torrence Blount, 20; and Derron Michael Anderson, 18. All three were students at Salem High School in Conyers.

Bolton said the car swerved off the highway and down a 30-foot embankment near the Newton County line. Bolton said authorities didn't find the wreckage until about noon Saturday -- hours after the crash -- because it was not visible from the road.

He said officers don't believe alcohol or excessive speed played a part in the wreck. Bolton says it appears no other cars were involved.
