ATLANTA -- The Indian Creek MARTA station in DeKalb County, which was closed after a suspicious package was found, reopened late Friday morning.

MARTA said in a statement: “MARTA’s Indian Creek rail station has been reopened and all regular bus and rail service has resumed. The suspicious item which caused the station’s closure this morning was handled by MARTA bomb technicians with assistance from the FBI and GBI. The item was placed in a total containment vessel, and has been taken to a designated testing facility for additional investigation by our technicians.”

Authorities have not said what the suspicious package was.
