GBI Investigation Leads To Child Pornography Arrest
An investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Hall County Sheriff’s Office resulted in the arrest of a Hall County jail employee.The employee is Blake E. Farr, age 32, of Gainesville. Farr was arrested Friday and charged with one count of possession of child pornography.Farr had been employed at the Hall County Jail for four years. As a result of his arrest, Farr was terminated and is no longer employed at the jail.GBI’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force initiated the investigation.
Investigators from the Hall County Sheriff's Office joined the GBI in the investigation that resulted in a search warrant being executed at the jailer's residence.During the execution of the search warrant investigators seized a computer from the residence.The incident is still under investigation by both the GBI and the Hall County Sheriff's Office.
