CBS 46 seeks an experienced assignment editor. This aggressive and highly motivated individual will be part of the team running the Assignment desk. Candidate must excel in covering spot news, listening to scanners and delivering viewer-oriented stories to our audience. Responsible for the management of news crews and the assignment of daily news stories, keeping story files, establishing police contacts. Must also help generate story ideas, as well as coordinate special projects. Log coverage of news on market stations.

Experience: Experience as an Assignment Editor or related experience.

Skills and Abilities: Good news judgment, communication and organizational skills. Ability to work varied hours and shifts. Excellent customer service skills required. Computer literate, INews proficiency a plus.

Education: Minimum High School Diploma. Some college preferred.
