Videotape Editor
CBS 46 is seeking an experienced Video Tape Editor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for editing video tape for regularly scheduled news casts and some special projects.
Experience: Minimum of three years editing in a television news operation is required. A maximum of one year of experience in a production house environment may be substituted for one year of television news editing experience.
Specific Knowledge:Demonstrated knowledge of current state of the art editing equipment. Avid Newscutter preferred. Experience on Sony Beta Decks, DVC pro Laptop, Avid and working knowledge of analog and digital editing.
Education: A college degree in Journalism or Broadcasting is preferred. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
Skills and Abilities:Should possess good storytelling and communication skills, and a good sense of timing and pace. Must have good organizational skills and attention to detail.
