CBS 46 is seeking an experienced producer who knows producing a newscast is more than just stacking stories. We have all the tools to creatively tell stories and our next producer will be someone who will challenge themselves and others to put on the best newscast he/she can. The ideal candidate will communicate with reporters, photographers, assignment editors and production staff to create an aggressive, fast-paced newscast. Responsibilities include writing scripts for broadcast and digital content platforms, active participation in daily editorial meetings and coming prepared with story ideas. The candidate understands the nature of the news business, its hours and enjoys the daily challenge of producing live newscasts.

Experience: Minimum of three years full time line producing newscast.

Specific Knowledge:Able to conceptualize graphic elements.

Education: A four year college degree preferred, preferably in Media Communication, Journalism or Broadcasting. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

Skills and Abilities: Strong writing and production skills. Writing test required. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Able to work varied hours and shifts.
