ATLANTA (AP) - Emory University Hospital officials say there are plans for an American aid worker who has been diagnosed with Ebola to be transferred there for treatment. Officials say the hospital has a special isolation unit that was built in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that's used to treat people with certain serious infectious diseases.

MACON, Ga. (AP) - Georgia health officials say they'll test more than 130 children at a Macon daycare after a child tested positive for tuberculosis. North central health district spokeswoman Jennifer Jones says children at Neighborhood Academy will be tested Monday and officials will return to the facility in 12 weeks to do precautionary follow up evaluations.

ALBANY, Ga. (AP) - Opening statements are expected to begin Friday in the trial of three people charged in connection with a deadly salmonella outbreak traced to a southwest Georgia peanut plant five years ago. The final panel of 12 jurors was selected Thursday morning in U.S. District Court in Albany.

ATLANTA (AP) - Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp says Richard L. Woods has won the Republican primary runoff recount in the race for state school superintendent. Kemp announced the results of the primary runoff recount Thursday afternoon, saying the two were separated by about 700 votes.
