Man arrested in Craigslist robbery

BUFORD, GA (CBS46) -

Police are warning online users who buy and sell online using Web sites like Craigslist after a man was robbed in Buford.

Police responded to the robbery which occurred at Century Park Apartments.

The victim had arranged to purchase an iPad that she found listed for sale on Craig's List. 

Police said when the victim met the suspect in the parking lot he was carrying a small box that supposedly contained the iPad. When the victim approached the suspect, he pulled out a large butcher knife and demanded the victim's money.

After taking the money the suspect ran away, according to the victim.

Detectives followed up on the case using information provided by the victim about the suspect's other ad listings. 

Using that information, detectives identified, Raemonte Gentale Harris, 24, as a suspect. 

Harris was arrested and charged with armed robbery. He remains in the Gwinnett County Detention Center without bond, according to police.
