TEMPLE, GA (CBS46) -

DeAndre Cortez Way, better known as hip-hop star Soulja Boy, posted a $10,000 bond after he was arrested early Tuesday morning in Temple.

CBS Atlanta was the only news crew at Free At Last Bail Bonds when Soulja Boy walked out to screaming fans.

The rapper, famous for the song and dance 'Crank that Soulja Boy' told fans he's innocent.

"I'm innocent man. I love you all. I just want you'll to know I'm innocent," Soulja Boy stated as his body guards rushed him to a waiting car.

Way and four others are facing drug and weapons charges after police stopped his rented Cadillac Escalade in Temple on Interstate 20 for a broken tail light.

Way had hired a limo to drive him and his friends to Mississippi.

Sources told CBS Atlanta police discovered $46,000 cash, three guns and more than 5 oz. of marijuana in the rented vehicle.

Tonya Watkins was one of about 50 fans waiting outside the bail bonds company. Watkins thinks Soulja Boy is innocent.

"I think when it's all said and done the charges against him will be dropped. I don't think he's that type of guy," said Watkins.

When police arrested Soulja Boy and his entourage they confiscated his puppy. They puppy-sat until Soulja Boy was released from jail.

All five people are facing three felony charges for the guns and drugs and were booked into the Carroll County Jail.

Temple Police Chief Tim Shaw said that based on what he knows of the arrest, all five occupants of the car were very cordial and the arrest went smoothly.
