Police: Occupy Atlanta protester turns on fellow protester with knife

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

An Occupy Atlanta protester was arrested Wednesday night after police said he pulled a knife on a fellow protester.

According to an Atlanta police spokesman, 28-year-old Gary Moore got into a dispute with another person around 10 p.m. at the Peachtree-Pine Homeless Shelter in Downtown Atlanta.  That's where the Occupy Atlanta protesters have congregated since getting kicked out of Woodruff Park.

Witnesses said that the dispute escalated and Moore pulled a large knife on the victim and threatened them.

Police arrested Moore and charged him with aggravated assault.  No one was injured in the incident.

Moore is scheduled to appear in court late Thursday morning.
