UGA, GSU students top list of growing clients on “Sugar Daddy” dating site

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

A website called SeekingArrangement.com that's infamous for matching up broke college students with rich, older partners, said that local college students have become some of its fastest growing clients.

In a national list, SeekingArrangement.com said The University of Georgia ranked second and Georgia State University ranked 11th as the schools with the largest number of sign ups in 2011.

Dekontee Tor, a Georgia State student, said she knows students who use the site and understands their plight.

"College is really expensive and these girls -- all they really have to do is talk to the guys on there, meet them and they give them money," Tor said.

Others – like Charles Rambo -- worry that the site is a form of prostitution – exchanging money for sex.

"There used to be the Pell Grant that would help you get through the residual from your student loan but now it's getting to the point of sex sells now," Rambo said. "God be with them, but I just hope and pray that nothing bad comes out of this type of situation. "

SeekingArrangement.com founder Brandon Wade said the site is about relationships, not prostitution.

"Prostitution is a one-hour arrangement," Wade said. "We don't allow those kinds of people on the site. In fact we kick off as many as 10 to 20 escort and prostitution-type profiles every single day."
