Body found in Jones County may be that of missing Henry County man

HENRY COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Police in Jones County are investigating a homicide that could be related to a missing man from Henry County.

Henry County Police Major Jason Bolton said the body found is believed to be that of 67-year-old William Douglas Coker Sr., who was reported missing Tuesday evening.

According to WMAZ in Macon, the Jones County Sheriff's Office said a man was found dead around 11:30 Sunday night in the River North gated community.

An autopsy, scheduled for this week, will have to confirm the victim's identity, police said.

Coker was last seen around 11 a.m. at McDonald's on Bass Road in Macon according to Henry County police. 

Coker was last seen wearing a plaid button-up shirt, khaki pants and eye glasses. He is 5'11" tall and weighs 220 pounds. Coker, who owns Doug Coker Properties in Stockbridge, was driving a 2009 Dodge Avenger rental car. The color is gray and it has Georgia tag BVM 1089. 

Police have not said if the car was found.

Coker's family established a reward at United Community Bank. They have not disclosed the amount.
