Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is seeking volunteers to help test the operational readiness of the international terminal, which is set to open May 16.
The airport needs about 1,500 volunteers to participate in a simulation exercise May 2 from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Maynard H. Jackson Jr. International Terminal.
The exercise will simulate a day of operation at the new 1.2 million-square-foot facility.
"We want to make absolutely certain that everything is ready for opening day on May 16," said interim Deputy General Manager Balram Bheodari. "The goal of the simulation exercise is to identify and eliminate any potential issues related to opening day."
Those interested in participating in the simulation must complete a brief survey form on the international terminal's website. Completed surveys must be returned to the airport via email no later than March 30.
