ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

CBS Atlanta News learned the man accused of shooting an Atlanta police officer in the leg was in court at 8:30 Monday morning.

Cameron Christian Maddox is charged with shooting Officer Dexter Toomer last Thursday night outside of Zesto in Little Five Points.

Maddox was granted $600,000 bond and his next court date is set for April 10.

Maddox did not bond out of jail.

Investigators said Maddox was angry at Officer Toomer for arresting one of his friends earlier in the day.

Police released video of what appears to be Maddox inside Zesto, prior to the shooting.

Detectives said they found empty shell casings on the roof of Brewhouse Pub, across the street from Zesto.

Officer Toomer is recovering.
