COBB COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

A police officer was injured in front of Wells Fargo Bank on Lower Roswell Road while arresting home-invasion suspects.

Cobb County police said there was a home invasion in the 300 block of Lamplighter Lane.

Three men were in the home, a man, his son, and his grandson, when three masked men entered the home.

The suspects shot the son and the grandson.

The grandson, who was shot in the buttocks, then chased the suspects in his car and called 911. Several more gunshots were exchanged in the neighborhood during the car chase.

"I heard a number of shots, probably five or six rapid fire," said nearby neighbor Harry Teague.

"It sounded like a getaway car, and after gunshots like that I thought this could be some sort of a shooting."

When police pulled the suspects over, the suspects fled and police chased them across the street. An officer broke his leg during the chase.

All three suspects are in custody.

Both men who were shot are expected to be OK.
