ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Stormy weather blew through portions of the Atlanta area Sunday evening bringing hail and heavy rains.

CBS Atlanta News found several trees down. One fell close to a home in Kennesaw, striking part of the home. Another tree fell in the Marietta area off Canton Road blocking Worley Drive.

Crews in Roswell received a call around 7 p.m. concerning a large tree which fell on Hollyberry Drive. It knocked down power lines.

Authorities on the scene told CBS Atlanta News that they received the call prior to the storms hitting the area. They said as the storms rolled through Roswell, rain and wind caused problems for crews cleaning up the downed tree and power lines.

Georgia Power reported less than 1,000 customers lost power from the Sunday evening storms. Most of those outages were in the Tucker and East Cobb areas.

One CBS Atlanta News viewer sent a picture of pea-size hail that fell at his Kennesaw home.

There were no reported injuries from the stormy weather.
