The father of a 16-year-old Villa Rica girl killed in a car accident last winter has been arrested.

Eric Sauls, the father of Cheyenne Sauls, is accused of offering a witness money to give a false testimony in an upcoming civil case.

Cheyenne Sauls died in a wreck on Pleasant Drive near Bright Star Road in February 2011; 17-year-old Jason Lark pleaded guilty to drunken driving and vehicular homicide. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison and will have to serve at least seven years.

Two other teens, Taylor Coss, 19, and Jamie McManis, 15, were injured in the crash.

The teens were at a party in Douglasville where teenagers were allowed to drink. A total of 10 people are charged in the case. Authorities have said each one of them supplied alcohol at two parties Cheyenne Sauls went to the night of her death.

Eric Sauls is charged with influencing a witness and subornation of perjury. He was arrested at his home in Villa Rica without incident.
