ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Sofia Vergara, one of the stars of ABC's Modern Family, sent Aimee Copeland a get well message posted on YouTube.

Copeland developed necrotizing fasciitis after cutting her leg in a May 1 fall from a homemade zip line over a west Georgia river. Her left leg, right foot and both hands have been amputated.

"We always have you in our minds," Vergara said in her message from New York. "We are all so relieved that you're such a strong person and so proud of what you've been doing and going through."

She also told the 24-year-old she wanted to meet her soon and give her a hug.

Vergara isn't the only celebrity to send good wishes to Aimee.

A number of other celebrities, including Kirstie Alley, Samantha Mumba, stars from the show Hart of Dixie and members of the band Hoobastank also recorded messages as part of a lollipop company's campaign to raise funds for Aimee.

The company, Sukitz, makes a diet grape-flavored lollipop that Aimee loves and is donating all gross proceeds during the month of June to her.

Last week, her father Andy Copeland wrote in a blog that Aimee was in severe pain and had resorted to taking pain medication, something she had previously refused because of her belief in meditation and holistic therapy.

Andy Copeland has been keeping a blog on her condition at AimeeCopeland.com.
