ATLANTA (CBS46) -

A motorcycle ride to benefit triple amputee Cpl. Todd Love of Acworth will be held on Sept. 8.

The event will start at noon at Harley Davidson of Atlanta on Thornton Road in Lithia Springs. It will end at Hooter's and Huey Luey's in Hiram. Registration begins at 9:11 that morning.

Love lost both legs and an arm when an I.E.D. went off near him in Afghanistan in October 2010. The proceeds will go toward building a smart home for Love.
