A special farewell ceremony will be held for Chipper Jones before the Atlanta Braves face off against the New York Mets on Friday night at Turner Field.
The on-field tribute will take place at 7 p.m. before the beginning of the game, recognizing the third baseman as he begins the last home series of his 22-year-long career with the Braves.
The first 45,000 fans to arrive will receive a commemorative print commemorating Jones' final season.
Because a large crowd is expected, fans are urged to arrive early.
Parking lots at Turner Field will open at 3 p.m., and stadium gates will open at 5 p.m.
Turner Field parking lot permits must be pre-purchased. Parking spaces will only be available for those with permits to the lots. The Atlanta Police Department will have extra officers in the area to direct traffic.
Three MARTA routes will operate between the Five Points station and stops near Turner Field, including route 32, route 49 and route 55.
The Braves face off against the Mets at 7:35 p.m.
