FULTON COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

Atlanta police arrested a man in connection with a woman's overnight death in northwest Atlanta.

Lt. Paul Guerrucci said officers responded to a report of a person down at the Andrews Street house around 1:15 a.m. Tuesday and located a deceased female.

Her boyfriend, Jonathan McReady, 36, called 911 and told police the woman had fallen off a bed.

The victim had bruises on her face and neck and she appeared to have died from foul play.

Police are treating the death of the woman, believed to be in her 30s, as a homicide, Guerrucci said.

McReady was interviewed and then charged with her death. He was taken to the Fulton County Jail.

Police have not released the name of the victim.
