DeKalb County police say an abducted 2-year-old girl that was taken after her caregiver left her in a van was found safe on Tuesday afternoon by a good Samaritan.

Police said Myrai Robinson had been staying at a daycare center prior to the abduction.

A woman who worked at the daycare, 44-year-old Rhonda Rivers, went into the Samson Fitness Center at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church on Woodrow Road around 9:30 a.m. and left Myrai in the van with the keys in the ignition.

When she came back out a short time later, the 2010 Dodge Caravan and Myrai were both gone.

Police said a good Samaritan found Myrai around 1 p.m. inside the van at Lithonia High School.

Melba Williams had heard the Levi's Call on the news.

Williams told CBS Atlanta News that she was driving by the school when she saw a van fitting the description, sitting in the parking lot.

"She was in the back seat standing up," said Williams.

Williams walked up to van and saw Myrai by herself and terrified.

"She was screaming," said Williams.

Williams called 911 and tried to keep Myrai calm.

"I just kept telling her, 'Mommy is coming. Just hold on, it's going to be alright,'" said Williams.

Police arrived and told Charity Gibson that her daughter was safe.

"She's an angel," said Gibson about Williams.

Police are still trying to find the person that took the van.

Rivers was booked into the DeKalb County Jail Tuesday and charged with second degree cruelty to children.
