GWINNETT COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

A man wanted by Braselton police on aggravated assault charges was found dead inside a Gwinnett County home of an apparent self-inflicted gun shot wound early Friday.

Police responded to the Buford area home after they were contacted by the city of Braselton late Thursday night, according to Gwinnett County Police Cpl. Edwin Ritter.

Police believed the man was inside a home where he was known to stay on Thompson Mill Road. When officers were unable to contact him by 1 a.m., the SWAT team was called in.

When additional attempts to contact the man were unsuccessful, SWAT sent in a robot, which located the man deceased in a bathroom, Ritter said.

The man's identity or details on the Braselton incident have not been released.
