Benefit concert to raise money for wounded soldiers
ALPHARETTA, GA (CBS46) -
A benefit concert will be held on Nov. 3, for wounded soldiers Todd Love & Michael Schlitz.
Gary Sinise and his Lt. Dan Band will play at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park in Alpharetta at 7:00 p.m.
Todd Love was point man on foot patrol in Afghanistan on the morning of Oct. 25, 2010, when he triggered an IED causing him to lose both his legs and ultimately his left arm.
Schlitz and his crew were in the southern Baghdad area doing a basic road-clearing mission in 2007. Two artillery shells attached to a propane tank went off and destroyed Schlitzʼs truck, killed his driver, gunner and medic and threw him away from the blast with his entire body on fire.
