DeKalb County police release sketch in attempted sex assaults

Posted: Updated:
DEKALB COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

DeKalb County police are trying to locate a man who they think tried to sexually assault four women.

The attempted assaults occurred between Oct. 1 and Oct. 20 along along the Hambrick Road corridor near Memorial Drive and Rockbridge Road.

According to detectives, in each instance the victims were walking alone near Hambrick Road when the man approached them from behind and engaged them in conversations.

When the victims proceeded to walk away, the suspect would inappropriately touch them and attempt to remove articles of their clothing, according to police.

The suspect is not believed to be armed.

Residents in this area are encouraged to remain vigilant about their safety and not walk unaccompanied if possible and report any suspicious activity immediately by calling 911.

This is the same area where police said 10 rapes two years ago were linked to one man who was later arrested.

Trevor Blue is awaiting trial for those crimes.

Anyone with information that can assist with identifying the suspect in the latest cases is asked to call the DeKalb County Police Department's Special Victims Unit at 770-724-7710.
