ATLANTA (AP) -

Marine Cpl. Todd Love, whose body was torn apart by a bomb in Afghanistan, is one of two veterans with Georgia ties getting help from a Saturday benefit concert by actor Gary Sinise and his Lt. Dan Band.

Love, who lost both legs and his left arm in Afghanistan, says organizers of the 7 p.m. show in Alpharetta turned battlefield tragedies into newfound hope for him and other wounded veterans.

The concert will raise funds to build new Georgia homes for Love and Army SFC Michael Schlitz. The Gary Sinise Foundation is partnering with the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation to build homes for injured veterans nationwide.

Sinise played an amputee in the 1994 film Forrest Gump and stars in TV's CSI: New York.
