Hosea Feed the Hungry requesting donations for holiday dinners

Posted: Updated:

Hosea Feed the Hungry is gearing up for its 43rd annual Holiday Dinner Series to help feed the needy in metro Atlanta, and they need your help.

While Kroger, Publix and Sodexho will deliver more than 4,000 donated turkeys to the organization on Friday, other food items and supplies are still needed to help prepare the more than 40,000 meals that Hosea Feed the Hungry expects to serve.

V-103, 1380-WAOK, State Farm, Kroger and Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless are teaming up to lead one of the largest support efforts and encourage others to go the extra mile this holiday season.

On Monday, November 12th, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., V-103 and 1380-WAOK, will be broadcasting live from two Kroger locations; 965 N. Hairston Rd. in Stone Mountain and 3093 Steve Reynolds Blvd. in Duluth.

Supporters are encouraged to come out make donations as they shop for their own holiday needs.

Hosea Feed the Hungry's first 2012 holiday meal will take place on Thanksgiving, Nov. 22, at the Georgia World Congress Center.
