Some retailers moving Black Friday to Thanksgiving night

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Target plans to join other major retailers in moving black Friday to Thanksgiving evening.

The chain says it will open its doors to Christmas holiday shoppers at 9 p.m. Thanksgiving night.

That's three hours earlier than last year!

Sears and Walmart plan to offer several deals for early shoppers.

Walmart is rolling out a one-hour guarantee. The store will guarantee that customers who are inside the store, and in the line between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. can purchase the following electronics at special low prices.

If any of the sale items happen to sell out before 11 p.m., Walmart will offer a guarantee card for the item which must be paid for by midnight and registered online.
