Police make 3 arrests following drug bust at southwest Atlanta home
ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Police have made three arrests following a drug bust at a home in southwest Atlanta.
Atlanta police said that after receiving complaints, officers recently went to a home on Olympian Way where they found 2,000 illegal pills, seven guns, cocaine and marijuana. However, the people that lived at the home weren't there.
On Wednesday, the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Task Force helped Atlanta police track down three suspects whom they believed to live at the home.
One was arrested Wednesday morning and the other two were arrested Wednesday afternoon.
A neighbor called police when he noticed the home was extremely busy.
"Completely relieved, because the main thing is there are a lot of kids who walk down here from school, and a bad part about that is the kids go there, and they serve the kids in way of serving the middle man to get to the parents," said the neighbor.
Police said without the tip from the neighbor, the suspected drug house would still be in operation.
