ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

The 2-year-old boy badly injured by a fallen tree limb at a Winder day care has rallied.

On their Facebook page, Tripp Halstead's family said he is resting comfortably and, little by little, machines and pumps are being moved out of his hospital room.

Three restaurants are donating a portion of their sales to Tripp Thursday: Dooley's in Winder, Moe's Southwest Grill on Hamilton Creek Parkway in Dacula and McDonald's in Winder.

Campbell Dental in Winder will also be donating 50 percent of the total office collections to the Halstead family.
