Winners crowned in Miss Georgia Teen USA and Miss Georgia USA

Two young ladies from the metro Atlanta area beat out other talented women from around the state for the opportunity to represent Georgia in two national pageants.

Contestants competing in the Miss Georgia USA Teen and Miss Georgia USA arrived in Cartersville on Thursday evening for rehearsals and a welcome dinner. Preliminary competitions began Friday which lead to Saturday evening's final rounds in the pageants which were emceed by CBS Atlanta's weatherman Paul Ossmann.

Julia Martin, 17, of Marietta was crowned Miss Georgia Teen USA for 2013. She won the opportunity to compete for the title Miss Teen USA. Martin was crowned by last year's winner Miss Georgia Teen USA 2012, Lynne Smits.

Brittany Sharp, 22, of Roswell was crowned Miss Georgia USA 2013. She won the opportunity to compete for the title of Miss USA. Sharp was crowned by last year's Miss Georgia USA Jazz Wilkins.

The 2013 winners were awarded prize packages which included scholarships. The pageants are directed by Kimberly Payne Greenwood who is the wife of entertainer and Grammy award winner Lee Greenwood.
