DEKALB COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

A group of concerned citizens came together for a vigil at a local church in DeKalb County after four murders within miles of each other.

Three people were shot to death on the morning before Thanksgiving. It happened in the parking lot of the Crystal Point Apartments on Columbia Drive.

Earlier this week, a 2-year-old girl was stabbed to death. Her 13-year-old step-sister is charged with that murder. The father of both girls spoke at the church vigil.

Shelton Ray talked about his faith and receiving help saying, "...God will do it in a way that you don't know, but you just gotta stay faithful. He won't give you nothing too hard that you can't handle."

The 13-year-old was babysitting when Sasha Ray was killed. Their parents returned and found Sasha in the backyard stabbed several times. She died in her father's arms.
