East Point Fire Department rescues children in house fire

EAST POINT, GA (CBS46) -

East Point Fire Department rescued two children in a house fire off Valley View Drive on Monday.

Firefighters discovered two children, 12 and 3 years old, in bedrooms.

The 12-year-old was unresponsive and the 3-year-old male was unresponsive with shallow breathing, according to crews.

Both were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.

After further investigation it was determined that the cause fire was due to food left on an unattended stove.
