CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

Cherokee County deputies nabbed three men believed to be responsible for at least seven commercial burglaries across metro Atlanta.

Detectives from Cherokee, Douglas, Rockdale, Cobb and Henry counties teamed together to locate three men who have allegedly been smashing convenience store doors to steal cigarettes.

By looking at surveillance video, detectives were able to pin what type of car was driven in the crimes.

Detectives spotted the suspect's car Wednesday morning on Highway 92.

A Cherokee County sheriff's deputy pulled the vehicle over and discovered plastic bins believed to have been used in all the burglaries to carry cigarettes out of the stores.

The deputy also found a hammer, rubber gloves and masks. There was also a small amount of heroin inside the car, according to reports.

Vincent Donehue, James Hill and Mark McCain were charged with burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, possession of tools to commit a crime, and possession of heroin.

Hill was also charged with giving a false name and McCain was charged with forgery in the second degree.
