Student alleges sexual misconduct against Atlanta police officer

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

There are shocking allegations against an Atlanta police officer who is accused of giving a local college student a ride home in exchange for oral sex.

Atlanta police aren't identifying the alleged victim or the officer in this case, but the officer is now off the streets working behind a desk while an administrative and criminal investigation continues.

The police report said the male student claims to have been dropped off at his fraternity house on the Georgia Tech campus after the alleged sex act.

The incident allegedly started at Pharr and Piedmont roads where the student asked an Atlanta police officer for a ride home.

"Allegedly a sex act occurred as a favor for a ride back to the campus," said Atlanta police Maj. Darryl Tolleson.

The police report details the student's accusation saying the victim stated that the officer asked him, "Are you good with this?" and was pointing in the direction of his genital area. The victim stated that he replied back saying, "If I'm good with it, will I still be in trouble?" The officer replied, according to the victim, "No."

The victim then stated that he performed oral sex on the officer. The report goes on to say  that according to the victim, the officer never threatened him or physically forced him to conduct the sexual act.

"We have that officer right now relieved of duty, working an administrative assignment at the precinct," said Tolleson. "That means he has no gun and badge and we have removed him from contact with the public."

The student told police he was heavily intoxicated when he asked for the ride after leaving a Halloween party.

Atlanta police pledges a full investigation.

"We take these allegations very, very seriously," said Tolleson. "If we find that these allegations are true, it is absolutely unacceptable and intolerable behavior."

The police report also says the student went to Grady Memorial Hospital but didn't go through a medical exam to collect physical evidence.
