Trailer full of baby cribs stolen from nonprofit

It didn't take thieves long to steal five cribs from The Hope Center in Woodstock. Employees said all they had to do was cut the lock and drive off.

"There were 10 moms waiting for cribs," Monti Price said.

Price said she arrived at work around 9 a.m. Wednesday and noticed the trailer was gone.

"I drove up and my heart just sank. I am so used to seeing it there and it was just gone," Price said. "We don't know when we'll have new cribs. We just keep applying for grants and tell them we have that need for cribs and hopefully we get it."

The nonprofit has been in operation for more than 20 years. The trailer was also donated. Price said they can't afford to buy a new one. Price drove the trailer back and forth to stores to pick up big items like cribs and strollers for mothers in need. Now, she said she will have to use her own vehicle load it up with whatever she can fit and make multiple trips.

"I am just disappointed, just disappointed," Price said. "I would hope they will bring it back, and I hope they would have something in their heart to have care for others."
