(RNN) – When you think of ways to de-stress, maybe a massage or an afternoon nap comes to mind. But one college is offering their students some playful entertainment to help relieve stress in between final exams.

"Yup. It's a room full of puppies," says the poster advertising the event.

Dalhousie University in Canada is planning a designated room, the Puppy Room, on campus for students to go and play with puppies during their exam time, Dec. 4 through Dec. 6.

"It fills a niche that people need right now because students are super stressed," Michael Kean, a third-year environmental science student who proposed the idea told the Post.

Dalhousie is teaming up with Therapeutic Paws of Canada, a non-profit organization that trains animals to help people with therapeutic or practical needs.

Students seem to be all for the idea, taking to Facebook to express their excitement.

"My major paper is due at 4 PM on the 4th…I will beeline it to the Puppy Room," wrote Dal student Jimmy Tennant.

The Post reported that the school's student union first shared the news by placing an ad about the puppy room on their Facebook page.

The Puppy Room has since gone viral across social networking sites.

But, this isn't the first university to try out this therapeutic tactic.

Ivy Leagues such as Harvard and Yale have begun to offer pet-friendly dorms.

Now – time to get this pawsome idea to spread in the workplace.
