PAULDING COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

Investigators said a narcotics arrest was linked to an officer-involved shooting in Paulding County.

On Tuesday, officers from the Forest Park Police Department and agents from the United States Marshal's Service executed an arrest warrant on Brenda Rose VanCleve, 51, at Paisley Park Apartments.

VanCleve was wanted for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

Agents said VanCleve was married to Danny Hammett who was fatally wounded on Oct. 17, after a narcotics search warrant was executed at their home in Hiram.

Since the October incident, agents suspected methamphetamine within the home which was later tested and confirmed by a crime lab.

The investigation into the officer-involved shooting is ongoing and being conducted by the GBI's Calhoun Regional Office.

The HPDTF agents that were involved in the shooting have been released from routine administrative leave and are currently back at work.

Police charged VanCleve and her son, James Richard Eason, 21, with possession of methamphetamine, other narcotics, and possession of marijuana.
