Detectives want to interview people shown in surveillance photos when police say an elderly man opened fire on a woman after her car came into contact with his motorized wheelchair at a gas station.
The woman, 65-year-old Linda Hunnicutt, died shortly after Tuesday's shooting despite the efforts of a crowd of people to aid her.
Police said Hunnicutt stepped from her vehicle, and the man in the motorized wheelchair pulled a handgun and shot her in the chest. The suspect, 73-year-old Frank Louis Reeves, is being held in the Bibb County Jail.
Macon police released photos showing people in the area, saying they want to interview them as part of the investigation. They include the driver and passenger in a burgundy vehicle who stopped to try and help Hunnicutt.
