Bank allows Snellville therapeutic riding center to stay till February

SNELLVILLE, GA (CBS46) -

A Snellville horse farm known for helping hundreds of disabled children was granted stay until February even though it is fighting foreclosure.

HSBC Bank canceled a court hearing on Thursday to grant the farm owner a stay.

The sheriff's department showed up last week to evict the owner, but didn't because of all the animals and equipment.

The owner, Marilyn Peterson, admits she has been in the foreclosure battle for years, but said she hasn't done anything wrong. She said it's the other way around.

But while lawyers battle it out in court, parents and volunteers fear the worst. They're afraid of losing the farm that has done so much for their kids.

HSBC Bank and Peterson are in discussions on how to save the farm.
